DIGITAL PARTNERSHIP - WHO WE ARE

The Digital Partnership aims to provide access to information and communication technology to assist socio-economic development in both developing countries and disadvantaged communities.

The programme is powered by the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), an independent, not-for-profit organisation that works with top corporates on driving their sustainable development agenda.

Pioneering a unique model for affordable ICT access through technology re-use, business engagement and innovative cross-sector partnerships, Digital Partnership has introduced sustainable strategies to bring technology to the task of poverty alleviation and development.

"Digital Partnership provides a platform for a wide range of stakeholders to contribute resources, technology, educational content and technical assistance to help bridge the digital divide "

IBLF launched its Digital Partnership programme in South Africa in 2001 with the support of the World Bank, Vodacom Foundation, Department of Communications, and other business and community partners.

Following on from its success in South Africa, the Digital Partnership became a global model and continues to make a difference through ICT capacity building and the provision of affordable technology.

CALL TO ACTION!

The worldwide demand for donated ICT equipment continues to exceed the supply. IBLF's Digital Partnership can offer a sustainable solution to this problem – and a mutually beneficial partnership opportunity for companies seeking a socially responsible, economically competitive solution for the disposal of their ICT equipment.
